Carolina's Martin Ureta Finishes Third At Isleworth Collegiate Invitational

WINDERMERE, Fla. - North Carolina golfer Martin Ureta fired a one-under-par 71 to finish in third place of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, two strokes behind winners Pablo Martin of Oklahoma State and Chris Kirk of Georgia. Ureta led the Tar Heels to a 10th-place finish after Carolina posted a 303 in the final round for a 913 total.
Georgia captured the team title with a one-under 863 total after firing a two-under 286 in the final round. Oklahoma State was the runner-up with an 873 total while Georgia Tech finished fourth at 874, Texas finished fourth at 882, Augusta State finshed fifth at 883 and Clemson finished sixth with an 884 total.
While sophomore Ureta led the Tar Heels, Matt Crenshaw tied for 31st place with a 226 total after carding a 76 in the final round. Jonathan Jackson tallied a 241 total and tied for 69th place while Reed Darsie shot 244 and finished 74th and Barden Berry shot 238 and tied for 78th place.
The 54-hole event was played at the Isleworth Country Club which features a par 72, 7,426-yard layout and is the home course of Tiger Woods and Mark O'Meara.
