Tar Heels Jump To No. 4 In USILA Poll

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Following a 10-9 overtime win against No. 5 Duke last Saturday, the North Carolina men's lacrosse team has jumped to No. 4 in this week's U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll. The win over the Blue Devils was the third time this season the Tar Heels had beaten a higher ranked team. Carolina will get a fourth shot when it meets No. 2 Maryland this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fetzer Field on the UNC campus.
The Tar Heels will be looking to claim an upset win over the Terrapins for the second straight year. A year ago, a UNC team ranked No. 13 beat a No. 2 Maryland team 10-6 in College Park.
