Florence, Italy
Today, we started out later than usual. Because of a government rule, we couldn't get on the bus until nine hours after we got back last night, or should I say this morning. The bus eventually came around 11:30 a.m. or so and we left Como, Italy. We rode for about an hour and a half and then we stopped to eat lunch at the worst place ever. The food was good, but it was the worst place for lunch because it cost and arm and a leg. All I got was two small pieces of beef fillet, a cup of strawberries and a bottle of lemonade and it cost almost 13 euros!
After lunch we rode for another hour and a half and took another break near Tuscany, where we stopped for ice cream and a bathroom break. It started raining and we soon reloaded the bus. After another hour and a half, we arrived in Pisa.
Before we even got to the leaning tower, the most unexpected thing happened: Three people in our group were all victims of pick-pockets. Two wallets, a passport and an I-Pod were all stolen. As soon as we realized what had happened, we ran after the thieves and demanded their things back. It was Kenya, Big Tiff, Marie, Ivory and a few others of us. After they saw how serious we were, they got scared and gave it all back. It all happened so quickly. The pick-pockets distracted them by pulling on their arms, blowing kisses and asking for money while another person covered their purse with a piece of cardboard so you couldn't see what they were doing. The next thing you know, your pocketbook is empty.
But anyway, after we passed a few booths of fake Gucci and Louis V. purses, we finally got to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It really leans - wait until you see our photos! After we walked around for a little while, we went to dinner. We were served salad, pizza and dessert. The pizza was great, but soon it was time to go and off to Florence we went ...
