Former Tar Heel Items Available In NBA Auction

NEW YORK -- Continuing an effort that has raised over $2 million for breast health awareness, the NBA and WNBA have opened the annual Breast Health Auction on NBA.com, with proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The Komen Foundation is one of the nation's largest private funding sources for breast cancer research and community outreach programs. The NBA/WNBA Breast Health Auction launched on Nov. 21 and will run through Dec. 9.

A few Tar Heel items of note:

VIP New Jersey Nets package including four (4) lower level tickets to the NJ Nets vs. Miami HEAT game on February 4; an on-court photo, watch the pregame shootaround, participate in the high-five link, dinner at the Nets VIP club, passes to the post-game press conference and a Vince Carter authentic jersey (available thru December 2)

Game of H.O.R.S.E. with Raymond Felton before the end of the 2005-06 regular season at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena. (available thru December 9)

Official Spalding basketball signed by New Jersey's Vince Carter, Miami's Dwyane Wade, Toronto's Chris Bosh and Atlanta's Josh Smith (available thru December 2)
