NBA Update: Week 15
Former Tar Heel Rasheed Wallace recorded two double-doubles in the 15th week of play. He posted a season-high 15 rebounds and finished one point short of tying his season-high in points by dropping 23 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Wallace also scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Update on former Tar Heels in the NBA:
Vince Carter, New Jersey Nets - Started at forward in all three games. Tied a season-high in points by dropping 43, going 5-6 from behind the three-point line, against the San Antonio Spurs. Carter made 27 of 29 free throws in the 15th week of play.
Brendan Haywood, Washington Wizards - Started at center in all four games. He scored 13 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and had two blocks in the Wizards' 94-91 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Antawn Jamison, Washington Wizards - Started at forward in all four games. He recorded two double-doubles in the 15th week of play. Jamison scored a game-high 35 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds in the Wizards' 95-87 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Jeff McInnis, Cleveland Cavaliers - Started at guard in all three games. He scored 11 points and handed out nine assists in the Cavaliers' 103-89 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. McInnis ranks 10th in the NBA in steals per turnover.
Jerry Stackhouse, Dallas Mavericks - Did not play against the Chicago Bulls due to a right groin strain. He returned to action and scored 14 points in the Mavericks' 115-113 victory over the Sacramento Kings.
Rasheed Wallace, Detroit Pistons - Started at forward in all three games. He scored 23 points and grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds in the Pistons' 103-81 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Pistons' are on a three-game winning streak heading into Wednesday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
