Nassau, Bahamas -- Junior Reyshawn Terry led six double-figure scorers as the University of North Carolina men's basketball team won the second of its two exhibition games in the Bahamas this weekend, 106-85 over the Y-Care Wreckers. The Wreckers, a Bahamian club team, lost by just six points to Marshall on Saturday. Terry, who scored 20 points in Saturday's win over the Real Deal Shockers, scored 13 of his 27 points in the first quarter and also grabbed eight rebounds in the contest.
Freshman Tyler Hansbrough scored 21 points for Carolina, while senior David Noel had 17 points and eight boards. Junior Wes Miller had 14 points, four three-pointers and zero turnovers and freshman Mike Copeland and senior Byron Sanders scored 12 points apiece.
Sophomore point guard Quentin Thomas scored just three points but dished out seven assists and had eight rebounds and just one turnover. In the two exhibition games this weekend, Thomas combined to post 15 assists and three turnovers.
The Tar Heels unofficially shot 46 percent for the game and held the Wreckers to 37 percent from the floor. Carolina had 17 assists as a team against 16 turnovers after committing 38 turnovers collectively on Saturday.
UNC led 34-19 after one quarter, 54-37 at the half and 76-62 after three quarters on the way to the 106-85 final.
Late in a sloppy third quarter, the Wreckers cut the lead to 10 at 72-62 before the Tar Heels went on a 10-2 run to end the third period and start the fourth. Terry scored eight of the 10 points, including back-to-back conventional three-point plays and a pair of free throws. Noel capped off the rally with a windmill dunk that made it 82-64 Carolina.
Freshman Bobby Frasor and senior Damion Grant did not score in the game, while freshman Danny Green did not play after suffering a left thigh contusion in Saturday's contest. Freshman Marcus Ginyard has a left wrist injury and did not play in either game.
The Tar Heels will return to Chapel Hill tonight in time to attend Labor Day classes on campus on Monday morning.
