Cook Named To Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List

CHAPEL HILL -- University of North Carolina junior Jenn Cook was named to the 2006 preseason watch list for the Tewaaraton Trophy, the nation's top individual award in women's lacrosse. The players on this list were nominated by coaches across all three divisions and are early season hopefuls for the 2006 Tewaaraton Trophy.
Cook, a defensive midfielder, was named a first-team All-America by Inside Lacrosse and a second-team All-America by the IWLCA/US Lacrosse last season. She was named to the All-ACC team, finishing third in the ACC in ground balls and draw controls.
Other Atlantic Coast Conference players joining Cook on the preseason watch list include Katie Chrest of Duke, Delia Cox of Maryland, Meghan Huether of Duke, Kelly Kasper of Maryland, Tyler Leachman and Nikki Lieb of Virginia and Rachel Sanford of Duke.
