Humphrey Named National, ACC Player Of The Week For Third Time

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's lacrosse attacker Chloe Humphrey has been named IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week and ACC Offensive Player of the Week, the organizations announced on Tuesday. Humphrey showed again why she's the best player in the country, posting career highs in goals (8) and points (11) in UNC's 21-12 win over No. 16 Boston College.

Humphrey had hit her previous career high of seven three different times, but got to eight in a big ACC match-up with the Eagles. She also added three assists, which is one off her career high.

For the season, Humphrey has tallied 46 goals and 20 assists. Her 5.1 goals per game and 7.3 points per game both lead the nation. She is the only player in the country with at least 45 goals and 20 asÂsists. She also leads the team with 13 caused turnovers.

Next up, the Heels host No. 11 Northwestern on Wednesday night at Dorrance Field. The game is set to start at 6 p.m. and will air on ESPNU.
