Trio of Tar Heel Recruits Named To Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic Team

BALTIMORE, MD. - As excitement builds surrounding the NCAA men's lacrosse final 4 this weekend, Under Armour in tandem with Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) Thursday announced the next generation of top lacrosse talent - the first-ever Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic Team. Three incoming recruits for the University of North Carolina have been named to the Classic Team and the Tar Heel program has the fourth highest total of recruits named to the team.
The three Tar Heel recruits who will participate in the Classic are midfielder Mike Burns from Shawnee, N.J., midfielder Sean Burke from St. Anthony's on Long Island and attackman Kevin Federico from West Islip, N.Y.
With a selection of 46 of the top high school players from around the country the All-America team will assemble to compete during the June 16-18 in Baltimore, Md. at Towson University.
The Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic final event is the first-ever high school level lacrosse game to be telecast live nationally and will air on ESPNU on June 18 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at 410-547-SEAT.

The weekend event will include clinics and scrimmages and culminates in a series of competitive games. Beginning at 1 p.m. and then at 3 p.m. on June 18, the underclassmen girls and then boys respectively, take to the field for the Baltimore vs. Washington "Undeniably the Best" Game. The All-America girls' match will take place on June 18 at 5 p.m. The unprecedented live telecast of the senior boys' All-America game by ESPN U, the 24-hour college sports network, will highlight the close of the Classic games and takes place on June 18th at 7 p.m.
Johns Hopkins has the most recruits on the team with seven, followed by Virginia with five, Georgetown with four and North Carolina, Denver and Maryland with three each.

The All-American girls' and underclassmen (boys' and girls') roster will be released next week.
