Roy Williams's fifth Carolina team will open their season Friday night, Oct. 12, at Late Night with Roy. But the head coach himself will open the season earlier that day at a breakfast open to the public. For the third straight year, Williams will host the Fast Break Against Cancer from 7:30 a.m.-9 a.m. on the floor of the Smith Center.

A host of Tar Heels will be in attendance, including the entire coaching staff, Bill Guthridge, Woody Durham, Hubert Davis, and several former players. The general public is also invited to attend; priority seating reserved tables and individual tickets are available online or by calling 919-966-5905. As part of the breakfast, a handful of items from Williams's personal collection will be auctioned. All proceeds from the event benefit the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society.
