Matt Baker Signs With Arizona

Former North Carolina quarterback Matt Baker has been signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad. Baker spent all of last season on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad, but was released in preseason. He was then signed by New Orleans, played in one game and was later cut before the season began.
The Cardinals recently lost Matt Leinhart for the year and signed Tim Rattay as a backup.
Baker had an outstanding season as the starter at UNC in 2005, passing for 2,436 yards, the second-best single-season total in school history.
In other NFL news, wide receiver Jesse Holley was cut from the Cincinnati Bengals practice roster.
