Robella has received the Gymnast of the Week honor five times this season; she previously earned the honor on Feb. 20, Feb. 13, Feb. 6 and Jan. 23. This is the ninth time overall that she has received the title during her career. By receiving the Gymnast of the Week title for the ninth time of her career, Robella sets a new school record (the previous record was held by Courtney Bumpers with eight Gymnast of the Week titles).
Freshman Kara Wright will share the EAGL Rookie of the Week honor with Maryland's Brandi George. Wright finished in second in all-around with a 39.000 score in a five-team meet last week. She also scored a 9.825 to tie for second on the vault and earned fifth place on both the bars and beam. This is the first EAGL honor of Wright's career.
Carolina's next meet is on March 30 at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Championships. The team goes into the meet having won the EAGL Championship three of the last five years.
