Martin Ureta Selected Third Team All-America

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Martin Ureta, a senior on North Carolina's golf team, was selected to the PING All-America third team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Ureta carded eight top-11 finishes this year and tied for 22nd place at the NCAA Championship.
Ureta, from Santiago, Chile, was earlier selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference team for the third consecutive year. He was also named to the PING All-South Region team for the second year in a row and concluded the year with a 71.95 scoring average.
Ureta was also a third-team PING All-America in 2006 after being an honorable mention All-America in 2005. Earlier this week, Ureta qualified to participate in the 2007 U.S. Open Championship which will be played next week in Oakmont, Pa.
