Former Tar Heel point guard Quentin Thomas has shown a penchant for writing hip hop musical lyrics, and the Triangle-area weekly, The Independent, is reporting that Thomas is recording with local producer 9th Wonder.

The Raleigh News & Observer published some of Thomas's lyrics in a feature story last spring and now the former Tar Heel has recorded "at least an hour's worth of songs" with the producer.
