Over the past three years, the Reece Holbrook Golf Classic has raised nearly half a million dollars for the benefit of Reece Holbrook and the North Carolina Children's Hospital. This year, the event gets even bigger.
Roy Williams, Butch Davis, and Anson Dorrance have all committed to be part of the golf portion of the event, which will be held on May 5 at Chapel Hill Country Club and UNC Finley. In anticipation of the gathering of coaching royalty, golf slots are already almost sold out. Fans will have an opportunity to bid on the chance to play golf in the same foursome with those coaches--it's the first time in his UNC tenure that fans have had that opportunity for Davis--at the RHGC Sports Memorabilia Auction presented by Roy and Wanda Williams on the evening of May 4 in the Carolina practice gym.
This year, there's a third event. Music legend Vince Gill will be in Chapel Hill on April 30 and will perform a benefit concert at 8 p.m. at Memorial Hall. Tickets are now on sale to the public at the Memorial Hall Box Office (919-843-3333).
More information on the event is available at the RHGC website. You can also email to register your foursome or get more details.
