Ackley Officially Joins Mariners

SEATTLE - Dustin Ackley, the first three-time All-America in North Carolina history, officially joined the Seattle Mariners organization Monday when he was introduced at a press conference and took batting practice at Safeco Field for the first time.

The next step for Ackley will be the Arizona Fall League where he will join former Carolina teammate Rob Wooten with the Peoria Javelinas.
