CHAPEL HILL --- North Carolina concludes a season-opening five-game homestand Sunday when the Tar Heels welcome Kennesaw State to Carmichael Arena at 2 p.m. UNC is 4-0 on the year following a 61-38 victory over Presbyterian College on Tuesday. Kennesaw State is 2-2 on the season after a 94-51 loss at Georgia Tech on Tuesday. UNC is ranked No. 16 in the AP poll and No. 15 in the coaches' poll. Kennesaw State is unranked.

KENNESAW STATE SERIES NOTES
• North Carolina is 3-0 all-time against Kennesaw State, with all three meetings coming in Chapel Hill.
• UNC and Kennesaw State have played in each of the last three seasons. Carolina won 102-68 in 2008-09 and 89-44 in 2009-10 before scoring a 98-52 victory last March. The 2011 meeting occured between the ACC and NCAA tournaments, the third straight year that Carolina had played a game on that middle Sunday.
NOTING THE LADY OWLS
• Kennesaw State is 2-2 on the season following a 94-51 loss at Georgia Tech on Tuesday.
• The Tar Heels and Lady Owls have one common opponent this season. UNC defeated Gardner-Webb in the season opener, 109-44, while KSU topped the Bulldogs on Nov. 15, 68-48.
• Junior forward Sametria Gideon leads four Lady Owls in double figures with 15.0 points per game. She also leads the squad in rebounding with 7.8 boards per contest.
TAR HEELS IN CARMICHAEL ARENA
• Carolina is 400-89 all-time in Carmichael, including a 27-6 record since the building re-opened after being closed for renovations from March 2008 to December 2009.
• The Tar Heels have won at least 14 home games in each of the last 10 seasons, including a school-record 18 during an undefeated 2007-08 home campaign.
• UNC has lost just 15 home games since the start of the 2001-02 season. The Tar Heels have been even more stingy against non-conference opponents, losing at home just twice outside of league play in the last decade.
