Help The Tar Heels Fill The Bus With Toys For Tots
December 14, 2011 | Men's Basketball
Dec. 14, 2011
All Tar Heels are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys to the men's basketball game against Nicholls on Monday December 19th. The Carolina Athletic Department and Chapel Hill Transit are joining together to fill a bus at the Tar Heel Express lot at the Friday Center. If you are not using Tar Heel Express, bring your toys to the game and help to fill the bins located in front of the Smith Center.
This is a great way for UNC fans to support children in our community. The Department of Social Services is joining with Toys for Tots to provide gifts for low income children living in Orange County. Last year, over 3200 children received toys and the number of needy children has grown to over 5000 this year. More donations are needed to make sure that all of the children will have toys this year.
All toys collected here will stay in Orange County to brighten the lives of our kids during the holidays. Gift ideas and more information about Orange County's program can found here.
Come to the game to support the Tar Heels and bring a toy to share the spirit of the holidays. Together we can fill the bus with toys!
