Seniors Kaitlin Williamson and Henry Zaytoun III have earned Capital One Academic All-District honors, as announced Thursday by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). Williamson, a fencer from Austin, Texas., was named to the women's at-large second team. Zaytoun, a golfer from Raleigh, was named to the men's at-large second team.
Williamson is a biology and psychology double major with a minor in chemistry. She capped her UNC fencing career with a 13th-place finish in women's foil at the NCAA Championships in March, the best showing by a UNC woman since 2001. A four-time regional qualifier and team captain, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honorary society and also was a recipient of the Carolina Leadership Academy's highest honor, the Leader of Distinction Award.
