Jamison To Speak To Charlotte AAU Teams, Host Sixth Annual All-Star Camp

Charlotte -- Cleveland Cavaliers forward and Charlotte native Antawn Jamison will speak to the Queen City Athletic Association's (QCAA) 11-and-under Red and Blue AAU teams on Thursday, June 30 at 6:30 pm. He will speak to the teams before they practice at the Kennedy Charter School's Belk Gym located at 1717 Sharon Road West.
Jamison will speak to the teams about the value of dedication and hard work. He will also offer special discounted rates for the teams to attend his upcoming 6th annual All-Star Basketball Camp, which will be held at Carolina Courts on July 11-13. Carolina Courts is located at 7210 Stinson Hartis Road in Indian Trail, NC.
Jamison attended Providence High School in Charlotte before Playing at Carolina from 1995-98, where he won National Player of the Year honors as a junior in 1998.
The QCAA's Red team has won three consecutive N.C. AAU State Championships and the 2009 United States Basketball Association national championship (as a nine-and-under group).
Jamison's All-Star camp will be for boys aged 7-18 and focus on providing them with basketball drills to help them on the court and lessons from guest speakers to help them off the court. Of the 150 spots offered for the camp, at least 75 will be given away to underprivileged local youths.
