Henson Tapped As Tar Heel Performer of the Week

John Henson, a junior forward from Tampa, Fla. on the UNC men's basketball team, has been named the Tar Heel Performer of the Week for December 26, 2011 through January 1, 2012 after leading Coach Roy Williams' team to decisive wins over Elon and Monmouth last week.
Henson had 16 points, 11 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in a win over Elon and 21 points, eight rebounds and three steals in a win over Monmouth. He averaged 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in the two games and made 17 of 27 shots from the floor (.630).
