UNC Volunteers At Habitat For Humanity
November 12, 2012 | Men's Lacrosse
On Sunday, November 3rd, 10 members of the men's lacrosse team took part in a Habitat for Humanity build in Chapel Hill. The group's main project for the day was building and putting up the walls for the house.
"Our time serving at Habitat for Humanity was a great experience that brought us closer together as teammates as we helped build a house and a future for a deserving member of the community" said junior Frankie Kelly, who helped organize the group.
The student-athletes worked alongside volunteers from Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. This is just one of many the outreach projects the team has undertaken as part of a larger effort to get out and give support to the local community.
