Kennedy Meeks Signs With UNC
November 24, 2012 | Men's Basketball
CHAPEL HILL - Kennedy Meeks, a 6-9 forward from Charlotte, N.C., has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of North Carolina and play men's basketball.
Meeks attends West Charlotte High School, where he plays for Coach Baronton Terry.
"We are very pleased that Kennedy has chosen to attend UNC," says Tar Heel head coach Roy Williams. "He is a wonderful kid who has a very supportive family. He's done an excellent job in the classroom and has skills that will really help our team. He may be as good a passing big man as I have ever seen in half-court situations and he throws the outlet pass like Kevin Love did when he was in high school. He has great hands and can score inside."
Meeks is one of three players to sign Letters of Intent during the fall signing period along with Nate Britt, a guard from Upper Marlboro, Md., and Isaiah Hicks, a forward from Oxford, N.C.
