Four Tar Heels Chosen In MLL Draft

Major League Lacrosse held its annual supplemental draft on Wednesday and four former Tar Heel greats were chosen for 2013 MLL roster spots.
Attackman Thomas Wood (Dallas, Texas), Class of 2012, was taken with the 12th pick overall and was a second round choice of the Rochester Rattlers.
Defenseman Tim Kaiser (Baltimore, Md.), Class of 2008, was taken with the 25th pick overall and was a fourth round choice of the Ohio Machine.
Long-stick defensive midfielder Mark Staines (Gambrills, Md.), Class of 2012, was taken with the 35th pick overall and was a fifth round choice of the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
Short-stick defensive midfielder Chris Hunt (Arnold, Md.), Class of 2011, was taken with the 96th pick overall and was a 12th round choice of the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
