GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Freshman guard Brittany Rountree was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman team, the league announced Tuesday. The sharpshooting freshman from Jacksonville, Fla., has been a valuable contributor for the Tar Heels both as a starter and off the bench. Rountree is a two-time ACC Rookie of the Week (Dec. 5 and Jan. 2) and ranks third among all players in three-point percentage (38.5) and 11th in steals per game (2.0). She scored in double figures in 12 games, including six straight from Dec. 20 through Jan. 8, and started 17 of 29 games.
