Luke Named ACC Video Coordinator Of The Year

The Collegiate Sports Video Association named Christopher Luke, Director of Football Video Operations for the University of North Carolina, the 2011-2012 ACC Video Coordinator of the Year.
Luke was selected by a majority vote of his peers in the ACC to receive the Conference Coordinator of the Year honor. He is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual CSVA banquet on May 17, 2012.
The Bob Matey Award is presented to the Video Coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.
Luke begins his fifth year at the University of North Carolina (18th overall) as the Director of Football Video Operations. Luke, 36, manages all facets of internal team video and game analysis needs for the football coaching staff at North Carolina. He also manages DVSPORT's 48 video stations network throughout the Kenan Football Center. Prior to working at UNC, Christopher was the Assistant Video Coordinator at Texas A&M from 2004 to 2008. Before working in College Station, Luke worked for two years at the University of Missouri as the Assistant Director of Video Operations and was in charge of the daily operations of the football staff while assisting in the video management of 22 sports. Prior to that appointment, he did his graduate work in The Speech Communication Instructional Technology department at Northern Illinois University while serving as the Football Video Coordinator for two seasons. Luke began his career at Eastern Illinois University as the Student Video Coordinator in 1994, and graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Radio/Television Production in December of 1998.
Luke is a native of Hoopeston, Illinois. He is married to the former Sabra Hubbert of Sikeston, Missouri. They have two sons, Travis, 6, and Truman, 4.
