CHAPEL HILL, N.C. –
University of North Carolina head men's golf coach Andrew Sapp has been named
to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) National Advisory Board (NAB)
for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons as announced Wednesday in Norman, Okla. The NAB is composed of 17 coaches from NCAA
Divisions I, II and III as well as the NAIA and NJCAA. Also, five non-coaches serve on the NAB in an
ex-officio capacity.
Sapp, a native of Raleigh, N.C., is entering his second year
as head coach of the Tar Heels after spending nine years at the helm at Michigan. This will be his first term on the NAB and he
will serve as Third Vice-President. Sapp
has previously served stints on the GCAA All-America, Nicklaus Award and Coach
of the Year committees.
