Heels Scrimmage On Monday

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The North Carolina Tar Heels scrimmaged for eight full innings on Monday at Boshamer Stadium with the visiting Navy squad pulling out a 7-5 win.
Zach Daly's three-run home run to right center in the first gave Navy an early 3-0 lead. Navy went up 4-0 in the fourth before Blue scored two runs in the bottom of the inning on a Colin Moran RBI double and Michael Russell's run-scoring single.
Blue tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with a two-out rally. Three straight singles were followed by Landon Lassiter's two-run single to left. Navy then scored single runs in the fifth, sixth and eighth innings for the win.
Five pitchers saw action on Monday: Taylore Cherry, Trent Thornton, Reilly Hovis, Andrew Smith and Matt Lowry.
The Tar Heels will hold their next scrimmage on Thursday.
