Heels Hold Sunday Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The visiting Navy squad scored all thirteen of their runs in a five-inning stretch to take a 13-7 lead over Blue on a beautiful afternoon for baseball at Boshamer Stadium.
The scrimmage featured two home runs. Brian Holberton hit a two-run shot to right center in the second, then Kayden Porter hit a massive two-run shot to left in the eighth.
Nine Tar Heels saw action on the mound: Luis Paula, Trent Thornton, Taylore Cherry, Reilly Hovis, Andrew Smith, Tate Parrish, Trevor Kelley, Landon Fraley and Mason McCullough. Paula and Fraley each saw their first live action of the Fall.
Carolina will hold its next scrimmage on Thursday.
