Heels Hold Sunday Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, N.C. - After being rained out on Saturday, the North Carolina Tar Heels held a full nine-inning scrimmage on Sunday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium with the Blue squad taking a 7-5 win.
The Blue team scored two runs in each of the second, third and fourth innings, highlighted by Skye Bolt's long, two-run homer to right in the third. Tom Zengel had a two-RBI double in the second for Blue. Landon Lassiter and Mike Zolk each had RBI singles in Blue's two-run fourth inning.
Nine pitchers threw on Sunday: Trent Thornton, Taylore Cherry, Reilly Hovis, Andrew Smith, Trevor Kelley, Tate Parrish, Jack Geraghty, Henry Sisson and Mason McCullough.
Weather permitting, the Heels are scheduled to scrimmage on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
