All Three Doubles Teams Win Friday At ITA Regionals

Laura Slater and Kate Vialle won 8-7(3) over Wake Forest's Kimmy Guerin and Andrea Retolaza. The Tar Heel duo will take on the No. 1-seeded doubles tandom of Beatrice Capra and Hanna Mar of Duke on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Ashley Dai and Tessa Lyons took down their ACC counterpart from NC State - Rachel James-Baker and Joelle Kissell - by a score of 8-6.
No. 2-seed Hayley Carter and Jamie Loeb won 8-0 over Coastal Carolina's duo of Marie Babayan and Romaine Delay.
In singles, Dai took care of Elon's Jordan Johnston, 6-3, 6-4 on Friday, and will go up against South Carolina's Caroline Dailey at 9:45 a.m., tomorrow morning
Slater lost to Clemson's Jessy Rompies by the score of 4-6, 4-6.
Lyons made rather easy work of Western Carolina's Stacia Kissell, 6-2, 6-2, and will now take on Melis Tanik of East Carolina on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
Vialle downed Frida Jansaker of Elon, 6-3, 7-5, and will now face Beatrice Gumulya of Clemson on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
No. 2-seed Hayley Carter earned a 6-2, 6-2, victory over Rachel James-Baker from NC State.
The event continues through Monday.
