Tar Heels In The NBA, Dec. 17

Box Score of the week
Just after being named last week's Player on the Rise, John Henson had an absolutely monster game last Tuesday against Chicago. He completely stuffed the stat sheet with 25 points, 14 rebounds, six blocks, three steals and two assists. The points and steals were season highs, while the six blocks tied his season best. The Bulls just had no answer for Henson, who shot 11-for-17 from the field, including 3-for-4 from the line.
Henson is taking advantage of injuries and, finally, some consistent playing time. However, Milwaukee is last in the Eastern Conference with a 5-17 record. Though there's not a ton of bright spots in Milwaukee this season, Henson is definitely one of them.
Player on the rise
Brandan Wright played his first game Saturday after missing time due to a fractured shoulder. He came back and put up a monster game against Henson and the Bucks. He had 19 points, six rebounds and one assist. Most impressive of his stats was his shooting, as he went an amazing 9-for-10 from the field.
"I'm still a ways from where I want to be at overall, physically," Wright said. "I'm probably about 65, 70 percent in shape as I want to be, but everything else felt fine."
Wright will definitely be someone to watch as he finds his role in the rotation with Samuel Dalembert, DeJuan Blair and Dirk Nowitzki.
Play of the week
It's a little old, but this is still nice to watch. A good defensive stop by Andrew Bogut leads to Harrison Barnes doing what he does best—getting to the rim and making an acrobatic dunk.
Upcoming games to watch
On Thursday night, watch San Antonio play at Golden State on TNT. Harrison Barnes and Danny Green will have a chance to shine on national TV. That game tips off at 10:30 p.m. Barnes has played well with Andre Iguodala still sidelined, and Green has the potential to get hot in any game.
