Doubles Duo Of Carter And Loeb Win At Duke Fab Four Invite

The freshmen duo of Jamie Loeb and Hayley Carter took care of Alabama's Erin Routliffe and Danielle Spielmann, 8-4, to win the blue draw in their collegiate tennis debut.
34th-ranked Whitney Kay recorded two straight-set victories to earn a spot in the finals of the blue draw, and will face Kelsey Laurente (Miami) on Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
Kay downed Karyn Guttormsen (Oklahoma State), 6-3, 6-2, in the quarterfinals, and later on took down Jeltje Loomans of William & Mary, 6-2, 7-5, in the semis.
Carter is also in the finals of the black draw after two wins on Saturday. She disposed of Christina Stancu (Texas A&M), 6-1, 6-2, and Erin Stephens of Ole Miss, 7-6, 6-1.
Carter will take on Florida's Sofie Oyen in the finals on Sunday.
Loeb was also a straight-set winner in both her matches and will face Breaunna Addison of Texas in the finals of the white draw.
Loeb breezed to wins over Belinda Woolcock (Florida), 6-2, 6-1, and Ester Goldfield (Duke), 6-2, 6-2.
Play finishes up Sunday with singles finals action at 9 a.m.
