In doubles, the first-year duo earned three straight-set victories to advance to the qualifying draw that begins on Tuesday.
Loeb never lost a set in three singles matches to advance into the qualifying draw.
Carter also won her three matches to move into the qualifying draw. She dropped the opening set to Jessica Wacnik of Boston College, before storming back to win 6-1, 6-1 over the next two sets in the third round of pre-qualifying.
