Is 10-for-10 from the field good?
Two weeks ago we wrote about Brandan Wright of the Dallas Mavericks having the hot hand, but now he's absolutely on fire. The big man went a perfect 10-for-10 from the field and was 3-for-3 from the free throw line on his way to wracking up 23 points in a win over the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night. Tim McMahon of ESPNDallas.com wrote about Wright's big night.
In the game before Wright was perfect, he had another impressive feat against the Los Angeles Clippers when he posterized Blake Griffin. Normally, it's Griffin who dunks on opposing players, but this time Wright returned the favor when he cut to the basket and threw down a thunderous left-handed slam over the former Oklahoma Sooner. Vince Carter wants to re-sign with the Mavericks
Vince Carter has had a solid season with the Mavericks in 2013-14, and the team is currently in position to snag the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Carter says he has found his comfort level in Dallas and says that his fingers are crossed that he'll be back with the Mavs next year.
On Sunday, Carter passed Elgin Baylor to move into 26th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list, but Carter wasn't in a celebratory mood after he was goose-egged against the Sacramento Kings.
Henson stuffs the stat sheet
It's been a miserable season up in Milwaukee for the Bucks, which hit a new franchise low when the team lost its 63rd game. However, in that loss John Henson had an impressive game with 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three blocks and a steal.
Wayne Ellington reflects on Final Four
With the 2014 Final Four about a 20-minute drive from the home of the Dallas Mavericks, Wayne Ellington took some time to reflect on his time at the 2009 Final Four that ended with a national championship and a most outstanding player award.
Game to watch
The Denver Nuggets have struggled all season with injuries and that trend has continued as point guard Ty Lawson is on the shelf with a sprained ankle. However, Lawson could be healthy enough to suit up Thursday night when the Nuggets head to the Bay Area to take on Harrison Barnes and the Golden State Warriors. Barnes has scored in double figures in three straight games and looks to be getting in a groove as the playoffs draw closer. Tipoff of the Nuggets-Warriors game is set for 10:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on TNT.
