Tar Heels In The NBA, Jan. 22
January 22, 2015 | Men's Basketball
There are currently 19 former Tar Heel players on 2014-15 NBA rosters, two more than the 17 on opening day rosters nearly three months ago. Below are updates on some of those former Carolina stars.
Bullock Joins Wright in Phoenix
New Sun Brandan Wright got a Tar Heel teammate when Phoenix acquired Reggie Bullock. The three-team trade involved two Blue Devils and a Tar Heel, with Shavlik Randolph going from the Suns to the Celtics and the Clippers receiving Austin Rivers. AZ Central's Paul Coro noted that Bullock liked what he saw two years ago in a predraft workout for Phoenix.
McAdoo Moves Up
After some impressive work in the NBDL, James Michael McAdoo signed a 10-day contract with the Golden State Warriors. McAdoo chose Golden State over an offer from Memphis.
Marshall Sidelined
Kendall Marshall tore his ACL last week when the Milwaukee Bucks played the New York Knicks in London. It's a tough break for the former Tar Heel, who had become more comfortable in his role off the bench for Jason Kidd's squad.
Henson Fits In
Spekaing of the Bucks, with Ersan Ilyasova and Larry Sanders suffering injuries of late, John Henson is one of two players carrying Milwaukee right now, says Dakota Schmidt of Hardwood Paroxysm.
