• The Tar Heels have won nine consecutive games, which is the longest one-season winning streak at UNC since 1914 when Carolina won 10 straight. The Tar Heels won 10 in a row over two seasons in 1996 and 1997. UNC won its last two games in 1996 and its first eight games in 1997. The only other time UNC won nine straight games in one season came in 1898.
• Carolina completed its first undefeated home season since 1996 when the Tar Heels were 5-0. This is the first year the Tar Heels have been 7-0 at home since 1980.
• This is just the eighth undefeated season at Kenan Stadium since it opened in 1927. The other undefeated seasons at Kenan Stadium include 1927 (2-0), 1935 (4-0), 1939 (5-0), 1972 (6-0), 1974 (6-0), 1980 (7-0) and 1996 (5-0).

• Larry Fedora's teams have scored 50 or more nine times in his four seasons as UNC's head coach.
• Carolina set a school-record with a combined 125 points in the last two games. The previous record of 118 points was set in 1914 when the Tar Heels won 65-0 vs. Virginia Medical and then posted a 53-0 win over Wake Forest. Carolina beat Duke last week 66-31 and defeated Miami, 59-21.
• The 59 points are the most Carolina has scored against Miami in 19 meetings. The previous high was 34 in 1952.
• QB Marquise Williams scored the Tar Heels' first touchdown of the game with a 10-yard run in the first quarter. He later added a 14-yarder in the second quarter and a 3-yarder in the third quarter. He has 31 career rushing TDs, which ranks fourth all-time at UNC. He moved past legendary Tar Heel tailback Don McCauley (29) with those three rushing scores.
• Williams is tied for third all-time among ACC quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns with 31. Duke's Brandon Connette also had 31 from 2011-13.
• Williams rushed for three touchdowns and passed for one vs. Miami. He has been responsible for a school-record 87 touchdowns in his career. He moved ahead of Florida State's Chris Weinke, Virginia's Shawn Moore and Georgia Tech's Joe Hamilton, who he was tied with at 83 entering today's game. The only players in ACC history responsible for more TDs than Williams are Clemson's Tajh Boyd (133), NC State's Philip Rivers (112) and NCSU's Russell Wilson (93).
• TB Elijah Hood scored his team-leading 12th rushing touchdown of the season in the second quarter. The 12 rushing touchdowns are the eighth-most in UNC single-season history.

• CB Des Lawrence and CB M.J. Stewart each had two pass breakups, extending their league-leading total to 12.
• Nick Weiler made his 16th field goal of the season in the second quarter. He also made all seven of his extra point attempts and has made all 49 PATs this season. He is one behind Tripp Pignetti for the most extra points made in a season by a Tar Heel (Pignetti made 50 of 52 in 1993).
• LB Jeff Schoettmer intercepted a pass in the second quarter and returned it a career-long 60 yards to set up a Carolina touchdown. It was his second interception of the season and fourth of his career.
• Switzer scored on a 78-yard punt return in the second quarter. It was his second of the season and seventh of his career, which is one shy of tying the NCAA all-time record. The NCAA record of eight is held by Wes Welker of Texas Tech (2000-03) and Antonio Perkins of Oklahoma (2001-04).
• Switzer now has sole possession of the ACC career record for most punt returns for touchdowns with seven. He was tied with Maryland's Steve Suter, who also had six.

• The Tar Heels did not commit a turnover for the third consecutive game and the fifth time this season (North Carolina A&T, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Duke, Miami). The Tar Heels are 5-0 in those games in which they did not commit a turnover. UNC recovered two Miami fumbles and intercepted one pass that led to 14 Tar Heel points.
• Carolina attempted a season-low 22 passes. The previous low for pass attempts was 23 at Pitt.
