Carter, Kay Crowned Doubles National Champs

FLUSHING, N.Y. - North Carolina's Hayley Carter and Whitney Kay won the doubles title on Sunday at the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Seeded fourth, Carter and Kay were forced to win in come back fashion on Sunday against Kentucky's Mami Adachi and Aldila Sutjiadi, the third-seeded tandem in the field.
The Wildcats took the opener 6-4, before Carolina answered with an identical 6-4 win in the second set. In the third set tiebreaker, Carter and Kay grabbed an early lead and never let it go in a 10-6 win.
