Tickets For Russell Athletic Bowl On Sale

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Tickets for North Carolina's Russell Athletic Bowl vs. Baylor on Dec. 29 in Orlandon are now on sale to the public.

The game will be played in Orlando's Citrus Bowl Stadium at 5:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally by ESPN. This is the first time the two schools have met on the gridiron.
Both teams enter the game ranked in the Associated Press Top 25. The Tar Heels (11-2, 8-0 ACC) are No. 10, and Baylor (9-3, 6-3 Big 12) is No. 17. This marks the first time UNC has played in a bowl game in which both teams are ranked since the 1996 Gator Bowl when the No. 10 Tar Heels beat No. 25 West Virginia.
Carolina and Baylor boast two of nation's most prolific offenses. The Tar Heels lead the nation in yards per play (7.33), followed closely by Baylor (7.25). The Bears lead the nation in scoring offense, averaging 48.0 points per game, while Carolina is No. 11 at 40.9. Both teams are averaging more than 485 yards per game.
