Gray Named To Naismith Award Midseason List

North Carolina sophomore guard Allisha Gray has been named to the Naismith Trophy Midseason Top 30 List for the 2014-15 Women's Naismith Trophy presented by AT&T.
The Sandersville, Ga., native leads No. 17 North Carolina (19-5, 6-4 ACC) in scoring at 16.1 points per game and ranks second with 8.0 rebounds per contest.
Gray is one of six players included from the Atlantic Coast Conference along with Notre Dame's Jewell Loyd and Brianna Turner, Duke's Elizabeth Williams, Georgia Tech's Kaela Davis and Florida State's Adut Bulgak.
The Naismith voting academy will narrow this list to four finalists who will go on the final ballot. The winner is selected by the board of selectors vote in conjunction with fan voting.
UNC hosts No. 7 Florida State on Thursday at 7 p.m.
