Carolina Finishes No. 9 In Coaches Poll
April 8, 2015 | Women's Basketball
CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina finished No. 9 in the final ESPN/USA Today women's basketball coaches poll of the 2014-15 season, released on Wednesday after the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament.
This marks the eighth time that Carolina has finished in the top 10 in the final coaches poll of the season. The Tar Heels were seventh in the final poll released last year at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.
Last month, UNC was ranked No. 15 in the final Associated Press poll of the season. The AP does not release another poll after the beginning of the NCAA Tournament.
Carolina was ranked in all 19 polls released this season by both the AP and the coaches poll. The Tar Heels reached No. 6 in both polls in week four and held that position for three-straight weeks.
