CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina senior forward Xylina McDaniel will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 basketball season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in her right knee Thursday night in Atlanta.

A four-year starter for North Carolina, McDaniel recently went over 1,000 career points, and has averaged 8.7 points and 6.8 rebounds this season.
