Watts Earns Second ACC Rookie Honor

From Wesley Chapel, N.C., Watts played an integral role in North Carolina recording three victories last week to run its current winning streak to a season-high five games heading into Thursday's home game with Syracuse.
Watts averaged 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game last week. Her best effort was an 18-point, 6-rebound performance in a 59-58 victory over Maine on Dec. 31. Watts made a three-pointer at the buzzer to give Carolina the win over the Black Bears. The play appeared on SportCenter's top 10.
She also handed out a career-high eight assists and added 14 points in a 72-58 win over Clemson on Sunday in the ACC opener for both clubs.
For the season, Watts is contributing 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks per game in her first campaign in Chapel Hill.
This marks Watts' second ACC Rookie of the Week honor as she also earned the award on Dec. 21.
