♦ ESPN's Jay Bilas was similarly optimistic about Carolina in a tweet from Maui:
It's early, and a long way to go. But, North Carolina is the best, most complete team I've seen. Right now, I'd have the Heels at No. 1.

Roy Williams emphasized in the postgame after the Maui title game win over Wisconsin that his team still has a lot of growing left to do: “There's probably, pick a number, 15 to 20 teams that have the potential to do it. You've got to stay healthy. You've got to get lucky and you've got to improve. If this is the best basketball that we play the entire season, then, no, we're not good enough. But I feel we can improve.”
