Four Corners: Tar Heels Heading To Las Vegas

CHAPEL HILL--It's been a relatively quiet week around the Smith Center since Sunday's win over Rick Barnes and Tennessee, with limited practice time, the annual Kids Club day and six days between games until Saturday's date against Kentucky in Las Vegas in the CBS Sports Classic.
The Tar Heels are preparing for the game against the Wildcats under unusual circumstances, as the team is in the midst of fall semester final exams this week. Players will complete finals on Thursday, then fly to Las Vegas on Thursday night.
On to this week's Four Corners:
1. NEWS & NOTES
♦ The CBS Sports Classic will continue for three more years starting next December in New Orleans. Next year's game will come a week closer to Christmas, thus avoiding potential exam conflicts.
♦ The Tar Heels' annual youth holiday clinic for kids in first through sixth grades will be held on December 29 in the Smith Center.

♦ The Tar Heels didn't play their best game, but they did overcome a late rally to defeat Davidson last Wednesday. Here are the highlights:
