Legacy Golf Tournament May 18

The University of North Carolina will play host to the inaugural Legacy Golf Tournament at UNC Finley Golf Course on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. The event celebrates and benefits Carolina Athletics and the Tom Fazio-designed championship-level course on the campus of the University of North Carolina.
Foursomes will be paired with a current or former UNC coach or a former Tar Heel student-athlete.
The entry fee for the Legacy Tournament is $1,600 per foursome. Registration includes 18 holes of golf with cart, driving range privileges prior to the event, food and beverages during play, awards and post-round hors d'oeuvres. The tournament will feature a captain's choice format followed by a “horse race” style playoff to determine the winning team. Teams qualifying for the playoff will play one ball in alternate shot format, eliminating the highest scores per hole until a champion is determined.

UNC Finley is one of the premier public golf courses in the Southeastern United States and is home to the Tar Heel men's and women's golf teams. Fazio re-designed the course in 1998 and the course is consistently ranked one of the top courses in the state.
