Tar Heels 13th After 2nd Round In Arizona

Stanford was one of two teams to shoot under par today and holds a 15-stroke advantage over Oregon after the second round of the NCAA Arizona Men's Golf Regional at the Gallery at Dove Mountain Golf Club.
The University of North Carolina shot 312 on Tuesday and is 13th, 64 strokes behind the Cardinal and 42 shots behind California, who stands fifth. The top five schools after tomorrow's third round will advance to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Ore., May 27-June 1.
Henry Do and William Register led UNC with matching 76s. Do is tied for 45th at 76-76–152 and Register is tied for 52nd at 77-76–153. Carter Jenkins followed an opening round 74 with an 81, Joshua Martin shot 79 and Ben Griffin had an 82.
Stanford has three players in the top five, including Franklin Huang who has shot 67-69 in the first two rounds and is in the lead at 8-under 136.
