July 20, 2016 | Women's Basketball
GREENSBORO, North Carolina - North Carolina freshmen basketball players Ali Cyr-Scully and Olivia Smith participated in the N.C. Coaches Association All-Star basketball game Monday night at Greensboro Coliseum.
Cardinal Gibbons' Smith started for the East and finished with seven points, including a 35-foot bucket as the clock expired to close out the first quarter.
East Chapel Hill's Cyr-Scully had 11 points coming off the bench, ranking fourth on the East squad, who lost 105-85 to its counterparts from the West.
After a busy summer working diligently in class and on the court, the program heads to Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland on July 28 and will spend time through Aug. 8 in Europe playing three games against local competition, while also exploring each of the three countries.
We encourage fans to follow the trip through @UNCWBB, our official social media channels on Instagram and Twitter.
