UNC Hosts Florida State For Senior Day

CHAPEL HILL – After a comeback, five-set win at Duke, North Carolina comes home to wrap up the 2018 season with Senior Day Wednesday. The Tar Heels host Florida State at 2 p.m. in Carmichael Arena.
The Tar Heels will recognize its graduates prior to the match at approximately 1:45 p.m. For parking, fans can either park in Rams Head Deck or the Raleigh Road Visitors Lot. Fans unable to attend the match can watch on the ACC Network Extra or follow live stats at UNClivestats.com.

About the Seminoles (17-9, 13-3 ACC)
Florida State wraps up the regular season in the Triangle, facing North Carolina Wednesday and NC State Friday. In a tie for second in the ACC, the Seminoles are 5-1 in their past six matches with the only loss coming to No. 10 Pitt Friday at home. FSU has only three conference losses: twice to Pitt and once to Miami.

About the Tar Heels (8-18, 4-13 ACC)
- Despite losing 10 straight, the Tar Heels have bounced back to win three of their past four matches, highlighted by a five-set come-from-behind win at Duke on Saturday.
- With Saturday's win, head coach Joe Sagula is one win away from 600 at the helm of the Tar Heels.
- Destiny Cox leads UNC with 278 kills, followed by Skylar Wine (224) and Ava Bell (201). With a career-best of two solo blocks, Katharine Esterley upped her total to 88 blocks in addition to Bell's 87. Hunter Atherton runs the offense, dishing out 9.27 assists per set to rank sixth in the ACC. Mia Fradenburg totals 347 digs to rank seventh in conference.
- UNC ranks sixth in blocks in the ACC with 2.44 per set. Katharine Esterley and Ava Bell lead Carolina's block with 88 and 87, respectively.
About the Seminoles (17-9, 13-3 ACC)

- FSU ranks second in the ACC in hitting percentage (.270) and blocks (2.85/set).
- Primary setters are Brianne Burkert (5.99 A/S) and Adrian Ell (4.71 A/S).
- Despite trailing the series, North Carolina owns a 16-9 edge at home. This is the first meeting between the Tar Heels and Seminoles in Chapel Hill since a 3-0 Carolina victory on Oct. 7, 2016.
