Ouellet-Pizer Clinches Win For #1 Carolina Over BC

CHAPEL HILL - Junior Chloe Ouellet-Pizer earned the clinching victory to help send No. 1 North Carolina to a 5-2 victory over Boston College in an Atlantic Coast Conference women's tennis match on Friday afternoon inside Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
The Tar Heels picked up the opening doubles point with wins on courts one and two. No. 9 Jessie Aney and Alexa Graham were first off with a 6-2 win and No. 20 Sara Daavettila and Alle Sanford clinched the point on court two, 6-3.
No. 93 Graham made it 2-0 Tar Heels after a 6-1, 6-2, victory over Jackie Urbinati and No. 28 Daavettila followed with a similar win on court three, 6-4, 6-0, against Natasha Irani.
Graham and Davettila are now both a perfect 13-0 in dual matches this season.
Ouellet-Pizer moved up a line today to court five and didn't bat an eye in earning the 7-5, 6-2, win in her match with Maria Ross. Carolina is now 13-1 on the season and 2-0 against the ACC.
No. 15 Makenna Jones closed out court two, 7-5, 7-5, over Kylie Wilcox.
Boston College (6-4, 0-3) picked up two late win on court six from Elene Tsokilauri and Asiya Dair on court one.
UNC hosts Syracuse on Sunday at 10 a.m.
